Brilliant book. Very well crafted intro to DSP with C and Fortran to back them up. Book was like new condition except that the Floppy disk in the back pouch had been opened. I took it out an popped it in to my old USB 3.5 inch floppy and read in the source code without any problem. Pretty nice. It happens that I want to compile C-Language DSP for SBC's like Cypress Semiconductor PSoC IoT, the Raspberry Pi, and the Teensy Board 3.6. The C-code from the book is extremely useful since it can fit into small RAM spaces of these kinds of processors.

The explanation of the why and how-to of signal processing is good to one (me) who was dragged into this area kicking and screaming because I had to code some low-pass filters. The book tries to keep you from drowning in complex analysis so the corresponding price is simply accepting a lot of "it can be show that..." explanations that I will never really understand. And full mathematical justification would be over my head anyways. My only complaint is the provision of the accompanying coded algorithms on a @#$%$%&$%^& floppy disk.
